Each one is inspired by the queue-around-the-block cookies Levain Bakery made famous on Manhattan's Upper West Side, then built from scratch in our Sydney bakery using more than 95% Australian ingredients.

A crisp, rustic exterior gives way to a soft, molten centre packed with premium chocolate chips, chocolate chunks, roasted nuts, and the kind of creamy fillings you do not expect to find inside a cookie. Our take on a New York icon

A standard chocolate chip cookie weighs 40 to 70 grams and bakes evenly to a clean snap. A New York style cookie sits between 115g and 180g, holds its height in the oven, and stays deliberately underbaked through the middle so the chocolate inside is still glossy when you break one open.

We chill every cookie dough ball before it hits the tray, bake hot and fast so the edges crisp while the heart stays soft, and leave the dough surface deliberately rough so each finished cookie has that craggy, homemade profile. Why Cookieman

We have been baking in Australia since 1958, starting with a single counter inside the Melbourne Myer department store. Everything still comes out of our Sydney bakery, still made by a long-serving local team, still sourced more than 95% from Australian suppliers. Every New York cookie is hand-finished, individually wrapped, and sealed on the line to lock in the just-baked texture before it leaves us.

How to enjoy them

How long do Cookieman New York cookies stay fresh?

Unopened and stored somewhere cool and dry, each individually wrapped cookie stays fresh for up to six weeks from the bake date. Once opened, eat within three days for the best gooey texture. The airtight wrap is applied on the production line, so the cookies you pick up at retail feel the same as the ones leaving our bakery.

Can I freeze them?

Yes, for up to three months. Wrap the packaged cookie in a second layer of foil or a freezer bag, then thaw at room temperature for two to three hours before warming. Useful if you are stocking up for a party or building cafe inventory.

Are they suitable for vegetarians?

All of our New York style cookies are vegetarian-friendly. We do not use gelatine or animal rennet. Each cookie is produced in a facility that also handles eggs, dairy, wheat, soy, and tree nuts, so check the pack for full allergen information before serving anyone with a severe allergy.
