Our take on the loaded cookie

A standard cookie weighs 40 to 70 grams and bakes to a clean snap. A loaded cookie is a different animal. Ours sit between 100g and 150g, hold their height in the oven, and stay deliberately underbaked through the middle so the fillings inside are still warm and glossy when you break one open.

We chill every dough ball before it hits the tray, bake hot and fast so the edges crisp while the centre stays soft, and leave the surface rough for that craggy, handmade profile. We've been baking in Australia since 1958, starting with a single counter inside the Melbourne Myer department store. Everything still comes out of our Sydney bakery, still made by a long-serving local team, and still sourced more than 95 percent from Australian suppliers. Every loaded cookie is baked fresh, individually wrapped, and sealed on the line to lock in that just-baked texture before it reaches you.

Loaded Cookies FAQs

How long do Cookieman loaded cookies stay fresh?

Unopened and stored somewhere cool and dry, each loaded cookie stays fresh through the use-by date printed on the pack, and for peak softness you'll want to eat within a day or two of opening. The airtight wrap is applied on the production line, so the cookies you pick up at retail feel the same as the ones leaving our Sydney bakery. Pop any pack you're not ready to eat straight into an airtight container and keep it out of direct sunlight.

Can I freeze them?

Yes, for up to three months. Wrap the packaged cookie in a second layer of foil or a freezer bag, then thaw on the bench for two to three hours before warming. Useful if you're stocking up for a party, planning ahead for a public holiday long weekend, or building cafe inventory.

Are your loaded cookies suitable for vegetarians?

All of our loaded cookies are vegetarian-friendly. We don't use gelatine or animal rennet. Each cookie is produced in a facility that also handles egg, dairy, wheat, soy, and tree nuts, so check the pack for the full allergen statement before serving anyone with a severe allergy.
